The Keto diet seems to be getting a lot of attention these days. For those of you like me, who are not nutritionally savy, I will give a brief definition of the Keto diet.
Basically, it boils down to working with your body and training it to burn fat before it burns anything else. By drastically decreasing your intake of carbohydrates, your body enters ketosis (ahem- keto, remember?) and as a result begins to use fat for energy as opposed to carbs.
This change allows for weight loss and a variety of other health benefits including decreased risks for many life threatening diseases.
SO. Keto= very low carbs + lots of protein + good fat

As with any change, the Keto diet requires preparation and planning to be successful! You cannot just rely on chance and expect to get results. One thing that always seems to be a tempation for me to eat junky foods is during my lunch break.
