Guys, this soup.
It’s only the middle of September, and I have already made it three times this past month. And when I say three times, keep in mind that I’m now married to a handsome vegetarian who won’t come anywhere near this one. Which means this huge, simmering, delicious pot of soup (plus leftovers) are exclusively for Yours Truly.
And I still can’t get enough of it!

THE BEST CABBAGE, SAUSAGE AND POTATO SOUP
This is probably due in part to the fact that I’m about 30 years late to the party that is cabbage soup. I’m not sure why, but our family never grew up eating it, and for years I used to only think of it only in terms of those crazy fad diets, and never really tried a good bowl until a few years ago. But the second I did — oh man, guys — it was cabbage soup love at first bite. Especially when you add some smoked kielbasa sausage to the picture, and some hearty potatoes, and lots of savory and garlicky seasonings — this feel-good, hearty, savory, delicious soup is comfort food to the max.
I wish I squeeze you all around my table and ladle you up a steaming bowl for yourself right now. But instead, I’m just going to beg you to stir up a pot for yourself.
But everything you see here my family and I caught in a parade this past weekend of the Cabbage the onions the potatoes and the carrots we got everything except for the sauce if they weren't throwing sausage at this parade but I thought I would put this food to use and I looked up a cabbage stew on Pinterest linkit below but I'm going to call this parades do what I am doing is heating up some vegetable oil and then I am going to Brown the sausage on that and then I will put in the onions and carrots and let them cook and then I will get back to you and let you know what I'm doing then
I'm going to Okay so far I've got the sausage onions carrots I use butter instead of bacon grease and I've got the cabbage salt and pepper and garlic in there and you're supposed to let this cook for five minutes and start the best you can it's a full pot until that cabbage Cooks down and then you add your chicken broth and potatoes
in The Stir It Well reduce the heat to medium-low and cover let it cook for about 30 minutes I got you this cabbage is cooked down enough for me to put the potatoes and chicken broth in so that's what I'm going to do now and then I'm going to put the later on turn the heat down and let it cook for about 30 minutes hey guys this is been cooking for 30 minutes turn the heat down give it a nice gesture and the last thing I'm going to do is add can of cream of celery
okay I just started in the cream of celery real good I'm turn the heat down to low and I am going to put the lid on let this cook for 10 to 15 minutes okay guys it's been about 15 minutes this cabbage to is finished cooking I'm going to turn the heat off and just let the lid on let it sit for a little while and I'll show you what it looks like when I get it played it up put some in mom poll I am going to make some cornbread go with it and there you go hope you all enjoyed the video and don't forget to subscribe so you don't miss any picture videos thanks for watching and y'all have a great day
